Most questions are answered in the app: tap the maame logo on the Today screen, then Help. It explains every number and abbreviation, including exactly how the readiness score is calculated.
Connecting intervals.icu
Open Settings → Data Sources and enter your API key (intervals.icu → Settings → Developer) and your athlete ID (on your profile page, e.g. i12345). Tap Test to check the connection. Training load — CTL, ATL and TSB — comes from intervals.icu.
No HRV or sleep data
- Wear your Apple Watch overnight. maame only uses HRV measured while you sleep.
- Check access in the iOS Settings app → Privacy & Security → Health → maame.
- Using Garmin, Oura or Whoop? Connect intervals.icu and set the HRV source in Settings.
The coach shows an error
Most errors are temporary: tap Try again after a minute. If Gemini is busy or you're offline, you can switch to Apple Intelligence on supported iPhones. If the coach asks for permission, tap Review & allow — nothing is sent to Google until you do.
Stopping Gemini
Turn off Share my data with Gemini in Settings → AI Coach, or choose On-Device (Apple Intelligence) as the AI model.
Moving to a new iPhone
Sign in with the same Apple Account and keep iCloud on for maame — your data syncs automatically. Your intervals.icu key stays on the old device, so enter it again.
Deleting your data
Settings → Erase all data removes everything from your iPhone and your iCloud, including your coach choice stored with our cloud provider. If you've already deleted the app, email us your Support ID and we'll remove that too. See the Privacy Policy for details.
